Wireless communications between Smart Central and the Caregiver PDAs are encrypted by way of SSL (Secure Sockets Layer).
Communications between the Patient PDAs and Smart Central are not presently encrypted since they comprise no identifiers such as name, SSN, date of birth, and so on.
